Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust backend services using Python and FastAPI.
  • Build well-structured, maintainable code with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Work with data pipelines and workflow engines (Airflow, NiFi, Prefect) to move, clean, and process data across systems.
  • Integrate systems and services using AWS infrastructure (S3 Iceberg, DuckDB, PostgreSQL, Redis).
  • Implement and manage data scraping, cleaning, and transformation pipelines (including bespoke data).
  • Use Pydantic for data validation and schema design in Python applications.
  • Work with the MCP server exposure, ensuring smooth integration for external tools or services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend engineers (React), data.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Core Python development.
  • Strong experience with FastAPI and modern backend frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of data pipelines, workflow orchestration (Airflow/NiFi/Prefect), and system integration.
  • Practical knowledge of AWS ecosystem - S3 compute, and storage services.
  • Experience working with databases like PostgreSQL, DuckDB, or Iceberg.
  • Familiarity with Pydantic for data validation. Working knowledge of data scraping and cleaning from diverse sources.
  • Exposure to AI tools (Cursor, Copilot, etc. ) and understanding of AI concepts.
  • Knowledge of AI models, cost-performance trade-offs, and deployment impacts.
  • Experience with Redis for caching. Familiarity with the Fintech domain (or willingness to learn on the job).
  • Basic knowledge of React (Full Stack capability is a plus).
  • Experience with exposing or working with MCP se.
