Security Specialist - Cybersecurity Transformation & Compliance

Reporting To: Head - IT Security Transformation

Location: Thurbhe, Navi Mumbai

Level: 3

Department: Technology Strategy Group (TSG)

Required IT Security Experience: 15 plus years

Key Responsibilities :

Data Protection & Encryption

Implement encryption for Personally Identifiable Information (PII) at rest and in transit.

Apply OEM security best practices across infrastructure and applications.

Regulatory Compliance & Governance

Conduct comprehensive compliance gap assessments against all applicable RBI circulars

and advisories.

Track and implement RBI advisories with defined ownership and timelines within TSG.

Ensure SOC 2 compliance for all SaaS vendors.

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

Conduct DR drills for all critical applications as per defined frequency.

Update Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and align RTOs/RPOs accordingly.

Implement periodic BCP training and awareness programs.

Asset & Configuration Management

Review and enhance inventory coverage.

Implement a unified CMDB integrated with procurement and ITSM tools.

Enforce asset tagging and lifecycle management policies.

Security Operations & Tool Optimization

Tune and optimize DAM, DLP, and EDR tools.

Conduct periodic breach and attack simulations to test solution efficacy.

Deploy adaptive authentication and secure session management mechanisms.

Application & Cloud Security

Mandate threat modeling, SAST/SCA, and integrity checks before go-live.

Implement secure coding practices and DevSecOps pipelines.

Conduct periodic cloud security assessments and close vulnerabilities.

Vendor Risk Management

Implement a vendor risk management platform with automated assessments.

Ensure DR drills and compliance for third-party SaaS vendors.

Technology Lifecycle Management

Decommission or upgrade unsupported systems.

Key Technical Skills Required

*Data encryption standards (AES, TLS, PKI)

*Regulatory frameworks (RBI Master Directions, SOC 2, ISO

*Security tools: DAM, DLP, EDR, SIEM, CMDB, DevSecOps platforms

*Secure coding practices (OWASP, SAST/SCA tools)

*Cloud security (AWS/GCP/Azure security assessments)

*Threat modeling and vulnerability management

*ITSM and procurement tool integration

*BCP/DR planning and execution

*Vendor risk management platforms

Key Soft Skills Required

*Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
