We are looking for a Technical Writer who can translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation that supports our global engineering teams and end-users.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Technical Writer or in a related documentation role (preferably in software, IT, or engineering domains).
• Strong understanding of technical concepts with the ability to simplify and communicate them effectively.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git or GitHub.
• Familiarity with collaborative documentation platforms like Confluence.
• Proficiency in Markdown (.md) for structured and efficient content creation.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for web-based documentation.
• Good understanding of Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Microsoft Copilot.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong command of English.
• Ability to create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for diverse audiences.
• Strong research and information-gathering skills to ensure content accuracy.
• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining documentation quality.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects.

Good to Have:

• Experience with API documentation.
• Familiarity with single-sourcing tools (e.g., MadCap Flare,RoboHelp).
• Experience creating multimedia documentation (e.g., instructional videos, annotated screenshots, tutorials).

Job responsibilities

• Create, develop, plan, write, and edit operational, instructional, maintenance, and test procedures.
• Produce documentation in multiple formats, including:
• Paper-based publications
• Multimedia and web-based resources
• User sites and embedded user assistance systems
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), engineers, and other stakeholders to gather and verify information.
• Research and translate complex technical and engineering information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
• Document engineering processes, workflows, and specifications for consistency and traceability.
• Define and apply formatting styles, templates, and standards to improve readability and accessibility.
• Ensure all documentation complies with GlobalLogic's style guide, documentation standards, and QA procedures.
• Manage and track documentation using version control systems such as Git or GitHub.
• Use Confluence and other collaborative tools for document management and review processes.
• Create and maintain content using Markdown (.md) and HTML/CSS for web-based documentation.
• Leverage Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot) to enhance productivity and content quality.
• Continuously improve documentation quality by integrating feedback from users, testers, and technical teams.
• Support the creation of multimedia content (e.g., annotated screenshots, video tutorials, and walkthroughs) when required.
