We are expanding our Renewable Energy Division and seeking an experienced Senior Solar Draftsman to join our dynamic engineering team in Hyderabad.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, modify, and maintain detailed SolarPV system drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
Develop layout drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), general arrangement GAdrawings, foundation layouts, and electrical schematics for rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.
Coordinate closely with design engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
Update and revise drawings based on engineering changes, client inputs, and site conditions.
Ensure compliance with Amara Raja Infras design standards and relevant national/international codes (IEC, NEC, MNRE, etc.).
Prepare as-built drawings post-project completion.
Support tender and proposal teams by providing design-related inputs and Bill of Materials (BOM).
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
810 years of experience as a draftsman in the solar industry (utility-scale, C&I, or rooftop).
Proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D); experience with SketchUp,PVsyst layouts, or similar tools preferred.
Strong knowledge of SolarPVdesign principles, structural and electrical layouts, and technical documentation.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Helioscope, or BIM software
Familiarity with GIS tools and international solar standards.
Experience in utility-scale EPCsolar projects will be an advantage.
