Role Overview

As a
Production Engineer
at SKEP CNC, you will be responsible for
planning, supervising, and optimizing the manufacturing process
to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production.

You will collaborate closely with design, quality, and maintenance teams to improve productivity and maintain manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute daily production activities for CNC turning and milling operations.
  • Prepare process sheets, tool lists, and machining parameters for new components.
  • Monitor machine utilization, cycle times, and output efficiency.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time and waste.
  • Coordinate with design and quality teams for first article inspection (FAI) and process validation.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Maintain records of production, tooling, and machine maintenance.
  • Support preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment.
  • Train and guide operators to maintain process consistency and safety standards.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action for process deviations or rejections.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of
    CNC machining processes (Turning, Milling, Drilling)
    .
  • Familiarity with
    G-code, tool paths, and fixture setup
    .
  • Ability to read and interpret
    engineering drawings and GD&T
    .
  • Proficiency in
    CAM software
    (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Good understanding of
    cutting tools, materials, and machining parameters
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    Lean Manufacturing / 5S / Kaizen
    practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and team collaboration.

Qualification

  • B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma
    in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 2–6 years of relevant experience in CNC-based manufacturing or precision component production.
