Role & Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and complete machinery systems as per engineering drawings and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform fitting, alignment, and adjustment of shafts, bearings, gears, couplings, and other mechanical parts.
  • Install pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical subsystems during machine integration.
  • Support trial runs, testing, and troubleshooting during pre-dispatch inspections.
  • Maintain tools, jigs, fixtures, and assembly records to ensure accuracy and traceability.
  • Coordinate with design, fabrication, and electrical teams to resolve assembly-related issues.

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of mechanical assembly, alignment, and measurement techniques.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, assembly layouts, and basic electrical/pneumatic schematics.
  • Hands-on experience with power tools, torque wrenches, grinders, drills, and measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, dial gauge).
  • Knowledge of bearings, seals, couplings, shafts, and industrial hardware.
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic fittings.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team under tight production timelines.
  • Good communication and problem-solving attitude.
