About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor (QS Executive) to join our Estimations Department. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction or civil engineering projects, with hands-on experience in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and rate analysis. This is a critical role that supports pre-construction planning, budgeting, and tendering processes.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from architectural and structural drawings.
  • Develop and update Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for residential, MSB, or infrastructure projects.
  • Perform rate analysis for civil works, labor, and materials based on current market trends.
  • Support tendering processes by preparing estimation sheets and bid documents.
  • Collaborate with design, procurement, and project execution teams to ensure estimation accuracy.
  • Liaise with vendors and subcontractors for material and service quotations.
  • Analyze cost variances and update cost databases and historical records.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all estimation work.
  • Support post-contract activities like cost monitoring and reconciliation when needed.

Mandatory Requirements

  • 25 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimation Engineer in construction/civil projects.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and BOQ preparation.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation tools.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Experience in residential, MSB (Multi-Storeyed Buildings), or commercial construction projects preferred.
  • Familiarity with local construction cost databases and standard specifications (e.g., DSR, CPWD).
