Job Summary:

The Parts Head will be responsible for overseeing the entire parts operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, timely procurement, correct billing, and smooth coordination with workshop and sales teams. The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and experience in handling parts in an automobile dealership.

Key Responsibilities:1. Parts Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day parts department operations.
  • Ensure timely availability of spare parts for workshop and sales requirements.
  • Monitor parts issuance, receipts, stock transfers, and returns.

2. Inventory & Warehouse Management

  • Maintain optimum stock levels to avoid shortages and overstock situations.
  • Ensure proper storage, binning, and handling of parts.
  • Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation with DMS.

3. Procurement & Vendor Coordination

  • Manage ordering of parts from OEMs and approved suppliers.
  • Track pending orders, back-orders, fast-moving and slow-moving inventory.
  • Negotiate with vendors for rates, credit terms, and timely deliveries.

4. Customer Support & Internal Coordination

  • Support service advisors, workshop managers, and sales team with required parts.
  • Address customer queries related to part availability and pricing.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction through timely service.

5. MIS & Reporting

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on parts consumption, closing stock, ageing, and profitability.
  • Monitor key KPIs such as fill rate, order accuracy, and inventory ageing.

6. Compliance & Process Control

  • Ensure adherence to OEM guidelines and dealership SOPs.
  • Maintain documentation related to parts sales, purchase, and warranty returns.
  • Implement safety and housekeeping standards in the parts warehouse.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Graduate/Diploma in Automobile / Mechanical / Any Stream.
  • Minimum 5–7 years experience in Parts Department of an automobile dealership (4-wheeler preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of DMS, inventory control, and OEM parts processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Analytical mindset and strong proficiency in Excel/MIS reporting.
