Role Overview

The
Senior/Manager – Credit Operations
is a critical leadership role responsible for managing the
end-to-end credit lifecycle
for Retail and MSME loan products. The role focuses on
credit appraisal
,
policy adherence
,
risk management
,
portfolio quality
, and
operational efficiency
, aligning with Digamber Capfin's goal of financial inclusion and sustainable lending practices.

Key Responsibilities

1.
Credit Appraisal & Processing

  • Lead underwriting, appraisal, and approvals for Retail/MSME loans.
  • Maintain TAT while ensuring quality and policy adherence.
  • Collaborate with sourcing teams for optimal credit decisions.

2.
Policy & Process Management

  • Define and upgrade SOPs in line with regulatory guidelines.
  • Drive digitization and automation in credit processing.
  • Ensure RBI compliance and address audit recommendations.

3.
Risk & Portfolio Management

  • Monitor early delinquencies and initiate corrective actions.
  • Partner with fraud risk teams on suspicious case reviews.
  • Support risk mitigation through process interventions.

4.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead and mentor the credit ops team.
  • Liaise with IT, operations, and business teams for seamless execution.
  • Ensure vendor performance for verification, valuation, etc.

5.
Operational Excellence

  • Drive KPIs: TAT, approval ratio, accuracy, and cost optimization.
  • Maintain high standards in credit documentation and decisioning.

  • Sound knowledge of Retail & MSME lending practices.
  • Stakeholder management and leadership excellence.
  • Process-driven mindset with attention to detail.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education
    : MBA or Graduate (Finance/Banking preferred).
  • Experience
    : 7–10 years total, with
    minimum 5 years in a leadership role
    in credit underwriting of:
    Unsecured/Secured Individual Loans, Business/MSME Loans, Retail Loans
