Client: Leading Indian Logistics Company Position: Assistant Manager - Pricing (Ocean Freight Exports) Location: Andheri, Mumbai Work Model: 5 days Work From Office
We are excited to announce an opening for an Assistant Manager - Pricing in Ocean Exports. This role is crucial for managing the pricing and quotation process, serving as the key contact for the client's pricing requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain competitive internal tariffs for major carriers across key trade lanes.
  • Explore opportunities to secure long-term rate contracts with major carriers.
  • Drive new business through competitive pricing and enhance existing business through effective carrier and procurement management.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with carriers to secure the best pricing, capacity, and equipment.
  • Optimize sales and profitability through strategic pricing.
  • Review and improve contractual terms and procurement strategies to enhance net margins.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Commerce, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6-7 years of experience with a reputed freight forwarder, including at least 3 years in Ocean Exports Pricing.
  • Proven experience handling pricing for at least 200 containers per month.

Skills & Requirements:
  • Strong decision-making abilities under pressure.
  • Experience with Freehand business pricing for a minimum of 200 containers per month.
  • Excellent connections and relationships with carriers.
  • Knowledge of Service Contracts for US business and the ability to negotiate long-term agreements for non-US business.
  • Proficiency in data gathering, interpretation, and analytical problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
