Location: Pune

Shift: Primarily Evening Shift or Flexible.

Experience: 5 to 7 years

Job Type: Full-time

The Assistant Senior Associate supports the team in maintaining quality accounting processes, including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Assist in process improvements, and mentorship for junior staff. The role also includes ensuring compliance with US GAAP, supporting audit activities, and facilitating effective communication within the team and with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Quality and Productivity:

Responsible for preparing and reviewing activities to maintain quality and productivity.

Identify and recommend process improvements within client accounting procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness.

Ensure process documentation is prepared and updated with the latest changes.

  • Month-End Close Process:

Complete the month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, review and analysis.

  • Audit Support:

Assist in coordinating and supporting audit activities, including preparing audit schedules, gathering supporting documentation and coordinating with auditors to facilitate a smooth audit process.

  • Compliance and Standards:

Ensure compliance with US GAAP and other accounting standards.

Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

  • Client Management:

Assist Seniors and Managers in managing client queries.

Work closely with the team and Managers to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.

  • Mentorship:

Share knowledge and expertise with junior staff, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to help develop their skills and knowledge in accounting and client management.

  • Task Management:

Provide proactive status updates on all tasks without follow-ups, maintaining clarity and transparency.

  • Internal and Client Communications:

Ensure the effectiveness of internal and client responses regarding language, tone, and content.

Requirements

We are seeking an Assistant Senior Associate with 5 to 7 years of accounting experience to join our team.

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, MBA or CA inter preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Thorough understanding of nonprofit accounting principles added advantage.
  • Ability to apply accounting principles and solutions to meet unique client needs and clearly articulate proposed solutions to client's problems
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Business and customer centricity – Customer is priority
  • Ready to work in night shift (05:30PM to 02:30AM IST) or any other shift that business requires
  • Willingness to work from office or home or in hybrid model as per the requirements
  • Self-starter, work with minimum guidance, ability and willingness to go the extra mile to meet business requirements.

Please note, the above role is for immediate joining only and suitable for GL or R2R accounting background.
