Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef & Professor to lead our Culinary Arts Department. The ideal candidate will bring strong professional kitchen experience combined with the ability to teach, mentor, and inspire students. This role involves curriculum development, kitchen management, and maintaining industry-standard training environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and train students in culinary fundamentals, advanced techniques, and kitchen operations.
  • Oversee daily operations of the training kitchen and labs.
  • Develop and update curriculum to reflect modern culinary trends and industry standards.
  • Mentor students in practical sessions, competitions, internships, and career development.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and kitchen safety protocols.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and resource planning.
  • Collaborate with academic leadership to continuously improve program quality.
  • Lead workshops, events, and industry outreach activities.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts / Hotel Management (Master's preferred for academic institutes).
  • Minimum 5–10 years of professional culinary experience in reputable hotels/restaurants.
  • Prior teaching/training experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Expertise in classical and modern culinary techniques.
  • Certification in Food Safety / HACCP is an advantage.
