About the Client

Our client is a reputed and discerning business family based in Mumbai, known for their refined lifestyle and global exposure. They are seeking an experienced and innovative Resident Head Chef to lead culinary operations at their private residence in Mumbai. (Accommodation will be provided). The position offers an exclusive opportunity to craft exceptional, wellness-focused dining experiences in a sophisticated home environment.

Role Overview:

The Resident Head Chef will be responsible for curating and executing daily and weekly menus emphasizing nutrition, wellness and global healthy cuisines. The role calls for a creative professional with a deep understanding of fine-dining standards, modern cooking techniques, and holistic nutrition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and prepare daily menus aligned with wellness, health, and nutrition goals.
  • Expertise in vegetarian, vegan, sattvic, ayurvedic and international wellness cuisines (Mediterranean, Japanese, Asian fusion, etc.).
  • Introduce new recipes based on seasonal produce and dietary balance.
  • Maintain impeccable standards of taste, hygiene, and presentation.
  • Manage all aspects of the kitchen operations, including sourcing, inventory, and vendor coordination.
  • Uphold dietary preferences and restrictions with care and precision.
  • Supervise and guide kitchen support staff (if applicable).
  • Maintain discretion, confidentiality, and a service-oriented mindset at all times.

Desired Skills & Expertise

  • Proven experience in luxury residential setups, 5-star hotels, fine-dining restaurants, or wellness retreats.
  • Strong knowledge of global health cuisine and contemporary wellness cooking techniques.
  • Exceptional skills in menu design, plating aesthetics, and nutritional balance.
  • Ability to innovate while preserving traditional and wellness-driven culinary values.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree/Diploma in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional culinary experience, including 2 to 5 years in a senior kitchen role (Sr. CDP / Jr. Sous Chef or higher).
  • Preference for candidates with experience in luxury hotels, wellness resorts, or private households.
