Overview: The IT Asset Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the organization's IT assets, ensuring that all hardware and software components are tracked, maintained, and optimized. They are responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to disposal, and play a key role in optimizing IT asset utilization and controlling costs.Key Responsibilities:
  • Track and maintain an inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
  • Develop and implement asset management policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and maintain accurate license records.
  • Coordinate the procurement and disposal of IT assets in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the IT asset inventory.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for IT asset management tools and systems.
  • Optimize asset utilization to minimize waste and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with various teams to forecast IT asset needs and plan for future acquisitions.
  • Monitor and report on asset performance, usage, and compliance metrics.
  • Handle asset tracking and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in asset management.
  • Train and educate staff on asset management policies and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Previous experience in IT asset management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of IT asset lifecycle management and related best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of IT hardware, software, and licensing agreements.
  • Proficiency in asset management tools and systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications in IT asset management or related domains.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to IT asset management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience with process improvement and automation initiatives.
  • High level of organization and documentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends.
