Job Title: QA Technical Lead – Automation (Python & Playwright)

Experience Required: 5–6 Years

Location: Pune

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled QA Technical Lead with 5–6 years of experience in automation testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Python and Playwright (with TypeScript), and a strong understanding of modern QA practices, CI/CD pipelines, and test strategy design. This role involves leading automation efforts and collaborating closely with development and product teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks using Python and Playwright (TypeScript).
  • Define and implement test strategies for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Own the quality of deliverables and drive continuous improvement in QA processes.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure timely execution and reporting.
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and work with developers to resolve issues.
  • Maintain documentation related to test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5–6 years of experience in QA automation with a strong focus on Python and Playwright (TypeScript).
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and QA lifecycle.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and backend testing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker).
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques.
  • ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus.
