Role Summary

As an Executive F&A at Aster DM Healthcare, you will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting activities across multiple hospitals and clinics. You'll handle AP, AR, GL, bank/vendor/customer reconciliations, and ensure adherence to healthcare-specific financial processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Process invoices from hospitals, clinics, vendors, and medical service providers.
  • Verify amounts, PO-match medical/service records, and coordinate with Procurement/Operations.
  • Ensure timely payments and resolve vendor discrepancies.
  • Assist in supplier statement reconciliations.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Generate and post invoices for patient services, insurance claims, and third-party billing.
  • Monitor receivables aging; initiate follow-ups with patients, insurers, and brokers.
  • Reconcile AR accounts; support insurance claim settlements.

General Ledger (GL)

  • Record journal entries for accruals, prepayments, inter-company transactions, etc.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Provide data for statutory financial statements (e.g., hospitals' P&L, balance sheet).

Reconciliations

  • Conduct bank statement reconciliations for Aster's multiple bank accounts.
  • Perform vendor and customer account reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in ledgers.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Support GST, TDS, insurance, and regulatory filings.
  • Adhere to internal controls, accounting policies, and healthcare-industry regulations.
  • Assist in audit processes (internal/external) and documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Revenue Cycle, Procurement, Operations, and Treasury teams.
  • Participate in ERP system (Oracle/SAP/D365) implementation or enhancements.
  • Support continuous process improvements, automation, and standardization.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com, M.Com, or MBA in Finance).
  • 3–6 years of accounting experience, preferably within healthcare or shared services.
  • Hands-on knowledge of an ERP system (Oracle, SAP, Tally, or D365).
  • Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals (AP, AR, GL, Reconciliation).
  • Familiarity with GST, TDS, and banking practices.
  • Solid Excel skills: experience using ERPs in multi-entity setups is a plus.
