Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Executive / Accounts Assistant with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in GST filing, TDS, accounting entries, and other core finance operations. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and regulatory compliance to ensure accurate financial reporting and smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • GST Compliance:

  • Prepare and file monthly/quarterly GST returns

  • Reconcile GST data with books of accounts.

  • Handle input tax credit (ITC) calculations and reconciliation.

  • TDS (Tax Deducted at Source):

  • Deduct and deposit TDS as per statutory timelines.

  • File quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.)

  • Generate and issue TDS certificates (Form 16/16A).

  • Accounting & Bookkeeping:

  • Record day-to-day accounting entries in Tally/ERP/other accounting software.

  • Maintain accurate ledgers and journals.

  • Perform bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.

  • Income Tax:

  • Assist in preparation of documents for income tax filing.

  • Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants.

  • Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.

  • Maintain vendor account reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.

  • Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Raise sales invoices and track customer payments.

  • Follow up on overdue invoices and maintain AR aging reports.

  • Data Entry & Documentation:

  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry of financial records.

  • Maintain organized documentation for audits and internal reviews.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance/ CA Enter or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, GST, TDS, and related areas.
  • Proficiency in accounting software like Tally ERP
  • Strong knowledge of Indian taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax).
  • Good MS Excel skills for data management and reporting.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with auditors and tax consultants.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance and ROC filings is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with e-filing portals for GST and TDS.
