Job Title: Safety Manager

  • Industry: Construction

  • Reports to: Project Head/VP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans and procedures

  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate hazards

  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, standards, and contractual requirements (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001)

  • Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to promote a safety-first culture

  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions

  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and subcontractors

  • Monitor and report on site safety performance, including injury and incident rates

  • Manage and maintain safety-related documentation, including permits, reports, and records

  • Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks with project teams

  • Identify and implement safety best practices and innovations

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in occupational health and safety, Construction Management, or related field

  • 15+ years of experience in construction safety management

  • Strong understanding of construction safety regulations, standards, and best practices

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, SMS) is a plus

  • Proficiency in safety management software and tools

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with construction projects (residential, commercial, industrial)

  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment

  • Familiarity with safety management systems (e.g., ISO 45001)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
