Datacenter Network Specialist

Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly skilled Datacenter Network Specialist with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and supporting data center and campus network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Arista Universal Cloud Network architecture and Cisco Core-Distribution-Access architectures, alongside strong automation skills using tools like Ansible and Python.

This role involves both project-based implementations and ongoing operational support for data center LAN environments across the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Center & Campus Network Implementation :

- Lead the implementation of Arista Universal Cloud Network (UCN) architecture in next-generation data centers.

- Develop and deliver High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), and detailed implementation plans for each deployment.

- Ensure close integration of the automation framework within all data center deployment and operational activities.

- Define, monitor, and report on KPIs for data center LAN performance; create and maintain dashboards for real-time monitoring.

- Implement Cisco Core-Distribution-Access architecture in large campuses and remote office locations.

- Utilize automation tools like Ansible and Python to develop and enhance automation frameworks supporting data center deployments.

Operations & Support :

- Provide timely and effective resolution for all data center LAN support tickets raised across the APAC region, adhering to established SLA commitments.

- Document all network changes comprehensively, including rack layout changes for network devices, ensuring up-to-date and accurate records.

- Maintain firmware consistency by ensuring all data center LAN equipment runs on globally approved firmware versions.

- Identify and address firmware security vulnerabilities by upgrading affected equipment to fixed versions promptly.

- Ensure all data center LAN devices are correctly onboarded to the monitoring system with appropriate monitoring templates.

- Use KPI dashboards proactively to predict network performance issues and fine-tune configurations as needed.

- Participate in the annual budgeting process to define hardware refreshes, purchases, and maintenance renewals for data center and campus LAN equipment across APAC.

- Collaborate with the automation team by providing feedback on recurring operational tasks and contributing to code development where feasible.

- Participate in a rotational on-call support process covering APAC region nights and weekends, with additional compensation for availability.

Required Skills & Experience :

to 10 years of hands-on experience in data center and campus network design, implementation, and operations.

- Strong expertise in Arista Universal Cloud Network (UCN) architecture implementation.

- Proven experience with Cisco Core-Distribution-Access architecture for campus and branch office networks.

- Solid understanding of network protocols, switching, routing, and LAN/WAN technologies in large-scale environments.

- Proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible and Python for network automation and orchestration.

- Experience developing and maintaining High-Level and Low-Level Network Designs.

- Familiarity with network performance KPIs, dashboard creation, and monitoring tools.

- Strong operational support experience in data center LAN environments including incident management and SLA adherence.

- Experience with firmware management, security vulnerability patching, and network device lifecycle management.

- Ability to document network configurations, topology changes, and maintain detailed records.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders.

- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation schedule for after-hours support.

- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
