Team/Role Overview

As a key member of Coinbase's S2P team, the Sourcing Manager will oversee internal BPO teams responsible for sourcing, travel & expense, third-party risk management (TPRM), and procurement operations. This role is tailored for individuals with extensive BPO experience, both operationally and in management, with a focus on driving efficiency, compliance, and cost optimization across these critical functions.

The role demands expertise in managing internal teams, vendor relationships, and financial risk mitigation strategies, while embodying Coinbase's values: Act Like an Owner, Clear Communication, Customer Focus, Efficient Execution, Continuous Learning, and Positive Energy.

What You'll Be Doing (Responsibilities)

Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor internal BPO teams across sourcing, travel and expense, TPRM, and procurement functions.
• Ensure alignment of team goals with Coinbase's broader financial and operational objectives.

Strategic Leadership:

• Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams and a primary external-facing representative for vendor communications and negotiations.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize sourcing, travel and expense, and procurement processes.

Vendor Management:

• Oversee day to day BPO vendor relationships, ensuring alignment with Coinbase's financial goals and compliance standards.
• Serve as a in time zone escalation point for BPO issues

Risk Mitigation:

• Develop and deploy sourcing strategies that reduce financial, legal, and operational risks, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with TPRM teams to ensure third-party vendors meet Coinbase's risk and compliance standards.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Clearly communicate sourcing decisions and their impact to leadership while aligning cross-functional teams on project objectives.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of procurement and expense management processes.

Continuous Improvement:

• Drive adoption of best-in-class sourcing practices and foster innovation through cutting-edge tools and technologies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements across sourcing, travel and expense, TPRM, and procurement functions.

What We Look For in You (Requirements)

Education & Background:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or related fields.
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in BPO operations and sourcing/procurement, with at least 1 year in a people management role.

Skills & Expertise:

• Proven ability to manage and negotiate multimillion-dollar contracts and vendor relationships.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with demonstrated ability to drive creative problem-solving.
• Experience leading large-scale projects with cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in spend management tools and mitigation frameworks.

Leadership & Communication:

• Advanced negotiation skills with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with expertise in delivering clear, concise recommendations to leadership teams.

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with sourcing and spend management technologies.
• Experience in the crypto or fintech space.
• Paralegal certification or formal contract law training.

Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, and vision).

Pay Range:: ₹6,061,600 INR - ₹6,061,600 INR
