Role & responsibilities
- Own the implementation, configuration, support, and optimization of POS systems across the retail network.
- Lead NSO IT setup including POS terminals, billing systems, network, surveillance, display devices, and integration readiness.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Store Ops, Projects, Procurement, Merchandising) and external vendors to ensure smooth technology rollout during store launches.
- Drive and monitor integrations between POS, SAP B1, WMS, ARS, and other retail systems ensuring real-time sync and data integrity.
- Track and manage project plans, issue logs, change requests, and escalations for all retail IT initiatives.
- Prepare documentation, training modules, and performance dashboards to drive adoption and process compliance
- Provide day-to-day technical support to stores, DCs, and HO for POS systems, printers, scanners, barcode devices, CCTV, and digital signage.
- Coordinate and execute New Store Opening (NSO) IT setup, including wiring, network configuration, system imaging, and device provisioning.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot POS terminals, LAN/WAN setups, biometric systems, and basic SAP B1 integration checkpoints.
- Liaise with vendors for hardware replacements, preventive maintenance, and AMC follow-ups.
- Monitor uptime, resolve store escalations, and close tickets within defined SLAs using centralized ticketing systems.
- Maintain IT asset documentation, configuration logs, and user training for local teams.
- Perform on-site visits in case of critical incidents or store IT handovers during launch.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors in IT, Computer Science, or related field; MBA is a plus.
- 8–12 years of experience in IT within retail, with core focus on POS systems, store rollout support, and infrastructure planning.
- Proven expertise in POS software/hardware management, multi-location IT coordination, and vendor handling.
- Past involvement in NSO projects including pre-opening planning, deployment, and post-go-live support.
