Job Description : Senior Test Consultant / Test Lead - Oracle Cloud HCM (UK Payroll)

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Oracle HCM Test Consultant with specialized expertise in UK Payroll to join our dynamic team. This senior role is critical to the success of our ongoing Oracle Cloud HCM operations and enhancement projects. You will be responsible for leading the testing efforts to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and reliability of our Core HCM, Absence, Benefits, and, most critically, our UK Payroll processes. Your deep understanding of UK statutory requirements and proven testing acumen will safeguard our payroll operations, directly impacting employee trust and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities :

End-to-End Test Leadership : Own and manage the end-to-end testing lifecycle for Oracle Cloud HCM releases, with a specialized focus on the UK Payroll module. This includes leading test planning, design, execution, and closure activities.

UK Payroll Compliance & Validation : Design and execute detailed test scenarios that validate payroll calculations against UK statutory requirements, including RTI (Real Time Information), tax codes, National Insurance, SSP, SMP, SAP, and student loan deductions. Ensure absolute compliance and accuracy in every pay run.

Test Strategy & Automation Development : Develop and implement a robust regression testing strategy. Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient test automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver (with Java or Python) to maximize test coverage and efficiency across the HCM suite.

Cross-Module Integration Testing : Create and execute integrated test cases that validate the seamless flow of data between Core HR, Absence, Benefits, and the Payroll module. Ensure that employee lifecycle events (hires, promotions, leavers) and absence entries are accurately reflected in payroll results.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting : Act as the primary point of contact for all testing-related communications. Facilitate test status meetings, provide clear and concise defect reports, and manage the defect lifecycle using tools like HP ALM or Jira. Effectively communicate risks and issues to project managers and business stakeholders.

Agile Testing Practices : Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to user story refinement by defining testable acceptance criteria and ensuring quality is "baked in" throughout the development lifecycle.

Continuous Improvement : Continuously assess and improve testing processes, automation frameworks, and tooling to enhance the quality and efficiency of the testing function.

Required Expertise & Technical Skills :

Must-Have Qualifications :

years of hands-on experience in testing Oracle Cloud HCM applications.

- Strong, proven knowledge of UK payroll statutory regulations and experience testing against them.

- Demonstrable expertise in end-to-end testing of Oracle Cloud modules : Core HCM, Absence, Benefits, and Payroll.

- Proven proficiency in test automation scripting with Selenium WebDriver, coupled with a programming language such as Java or Python.

- Solid experience with test management and defect tracking tools, specifically HP ALM or Jira.

Technical Skills :

- Oracle Cloud HCM Testing Methodologies : In-depth understanding of testing best practices specific to the Oracle Cloud HCM ecosystem.

- Automation Frameworks : Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for creating, executing, and maintaining automated test suites.

- Agile/Scrum Practices : Practical experience working in an Agile environment, participating in sprints, and conducting continuous testing.

- Regression Testing Strategy : Expertise in developing, managing, and executing a comprehensive regression test strategy to mitigate risk with each release.

- Defect Management : Mastery of the defect management lifecycle, from identification and logging to tracking, prioritization, and verification.
