Job Description

Job Title: AGM/ Sr Manager – I&SM

Department: I&SM-Waste Management

Reporting To: Head I&SM

Role Purpose:

To ensure continuous and cost effective supply of all necessary materials, components and spare parts to the production line while accurately controlling and safeguarding the inventory. Responsible for collection & sale/disposal of saleable waste/scrap from Plant Premises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Disposal of non-moving assets: Identifying the non-moving performance asset & its disposal process.
  • Arranging e-auction to dispose the waste commodity goods: Monitoring & tracking of orders, conducting auction before ending of the contract, address customer concerns promptly and ensure a positive experience. Ensuring to conduct maximum auctions, documentation work of Audit.
  • Plant site cleaning with proper safety norms: Lifting of metallic & non-metallic scrap. Ensuring to keep site clean & healthy.
  • Revenue generation from Waste: Support in development new customers for lifting; Taking follow up with vendor for placing maximum vehicle placement/ Providing Bidding/ Auction facility from time to time. Collecting payment against WMG sale in advance before placing the vehicle
  • House Keeping of WASTE STORAGE YARD (Oil Yard & Managing WMG Yard) with zero observation for Internal & External audit.
  • Compliances: Ensure safety and environment legal compliances while shifting and storing of hazardous waste. Responsible for ensuring EMS & OHSAS compliance in their scope of activity. Participation in HIRA & Incident Investigation. Compliance of handling & Sale of Hazardous Waste and maintaining government documents. Ensuring ESG & GHG Compliance.
  • Disposal of Slag (HARSCO/ JIGGED & STONE)/ manpower handling, Developing new vendors for lifting of slag, taking follow up with vendor for placing maximum vehicle placement, ensuring no accumulation of slag at generation point for smooth production.

Key Requirements

Education:

Degree in Engineering in Mechanical/Electrical or related field.

Preferred Qualifications (if any):

  • Diploma in Materials Management, Import-Export preferable, MBA is an added advantage.

Experience:

14 to 16 years of experience in Stores/ Waste Management roles in steel or heavy manufacturing industry.

Skills:

SAP, Material Management & People Management
