Experience/Knowledge Required

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 3 years experience in System Admin, Network and Cloud management
  • Cloud Environment Management (AZURE, AWS)
  • Linux OS and Windows server installation, configuration, troubleshooting
  • mDNS broadcast management for BYOD content streaming
  • Avahi gateway control and management
  • Radius / AAA, Firewall / IP tables configuration, ACL Management
  • Captive portal solutions (eg Mikrotik, Packetfence, OpenNAC, etc)
  • L2 and L3 switch management including open-source switching
  • Networking, Load balancing, IP addressing schemes, routing (server level), NATTing
  • Packet capture analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump, snoop, Sniffer Pro)
  • Must be able to travel if required and able to rectify critical malfunctions during and after work hours (no shift work required)
  • Good command of written and spoken English

Preferred

  • Knowledge in Server and Network-side scripting
  • Cloud server Administration (AWS, Azure)

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Configure, implement, maintain and troubleshoot enterprise appliances
  • Ensure that the security of all systems is actively maintained according to industry standards
  • Provide timely response for server, network and application support within SLA
  • Understand escalations and delegation procedures, receive escalations from the Tier 1 support teams and resolve or otherwise re-direct to other internal teams as required
  • Perform other various duties as assigned
