Job Title: Associate Manager - TBR Technology (PI)

Location: Chennai Office

Reports to (Position):

Department/Function: Plant Technology - TBR PI

Purpose of the Job: Responsible for Establishment of Steel and Textile Calendaring process with new materials/equipment. Ensure calendaring process to run with desired speed and within targeted rejection level

Provide knowledge based support for trouble shooting and improvement design groove rolls for new material.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. New equipment industrialization:

    Establishment the process in new machines. Overview and ensure component quality meeting the norms.
  2. Develop and control the specifications and standards:

Develop plant specific Product spec, Process spec, Machine setup spec, in-process standards, inspection standards and control it.

  1. Overview and ensure product and process quality:

    Ensure the process is operating within the specified norms and enforce product quality. Initiate, validate and Control the process changes. Lead the process and product quality improvements.

    4.Coordinate with Corporate technology to industrialize new products

  2. Evaluate and approve new RM sources:

    Evaluate and approve new RM sources related calendaring.

  3. Control of Calendaring process:

    Monitor Calendared component properties and ensure with in control
  4. Support manufacturing in the reduction of cured tyre defects and scraps.
  5. Provide technology leadership in trouble shooting, process improvements and plant efficiency improvements.
  6. Provide technical , product quality training to manufacturing team members
  7. Ensure calendared components quality.

Skills:

Knowledge of calendaring process and materials

Knowledge of 4 roll calendar equipment and tooling

Knowledge of calendared material acceptance criteria and control parameters.

Relevant Experience: 7 Years in Tyre Industry

Education Qualification(s): B.E / B.Tech Mechanical/Rubber Technology
