Role Summary:
The Manufacturing Plant HR Lead will oversee all HR activities at the manufacturing site, including but not limited managing talent acquisition (up to Assistant Manager level), talent management, annual people processes, plant administration, and learning initiatives aligned with Corporate COE directives. This role also encompasses managing contract labor and ensuring efficient HR operations to meet site business goals.
Roles and Responsibility:
Talent Acquisition & Management
• Manage end-to-end talent acquisition processes for the plant, focusing on recruitment up to Assistant Manager level.
• Partner with department managers and leadership to identify critical skill requirements and hire the right talent.
• Ensure effective onboarding and seamless integration of new hires into the plant culture.
Talent Management:
• Drive talent management initiatives including talent reviews, identification of high-potential employees, and succession planning for key roles.
• Support career development planning and employee engagement activities to retain critical talent.
• Facilitate leadership development programs and mentoring initiatives in partnership with Corporate COE.
• Monitor employee performance and potential to recommend personalized development plans.
Annual People Processes:
• Lead all annual people processes such as performance appraisals, goal setting, promotions, and structured feedback systems.
• Maintain accuracy and timely completion of all people processes, ensuring alignment with corporate standards.
Plant Administration & Contract Labor Management:
• Oversee smooth plant administration covering facility management, statutory compliances, and HR policy adherence.
• Manage contract labor workforce including compliance, documentation, engagement, and grievance redressal.
• Liaise with contractors/vendors and ensure proper implementation of labor laws.
Learning & Development Initiatives:
• Plan and implement learning and development programs aligned with corporate learning frameworks.
• Conduct skill gap analyses and competency mapping at the plant level.
• Facilitate training schedules, vendor management, and measure training effectiveness.
HR Operations & Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and corporate HR policies specifically relating to manufacturing and contract labor operations.
• Manage day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, and maintain workforce data integrity.
• Generate HR analytics and reports for site leadership.
System Management (Good to Have):
• Manage day-to-day HR data updates and transactions in Workday or similar HRIS platforms.
• Work closely with corporate HR to streamline system usage and address operational challenges.
What we are looking for:
• Full-time Graduation plus MBA in Human Resources.
• 7 to 10 years of HR experience in manufacturing or plant environments.
• Experience managing plant administration and contract labor.
• Demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition and talent management.
• Strong experience handling annual people processes.
• Prior experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms for daily HR management.
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of labor laws and contract labor management.
• Proven capabilities in talent acquisition and talent management strategies.
