About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager Accounts to manage end-to-end AP operations, strengthen internal controls, and support cash-flow efficiency at our Head Office. The role will closely partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities Profitability & Cash Flow
- Improve cash conversion cycle by utilizing vendor credit terms to enhance working capital.
- Prevent duplicate/over-payments through strong validation and controls.
- Conduct spend analytics and track high-value suppliers for cost optimization.
- Explore supply-chain financing/discounting programs with internal stakeholders.
Process & Controls
- Manage NOCs & vendor reconciliations for all vendors—quarterly.
- Ensure 100% accuracy of vendor master and invoice entries in ERP.
- Maintain complete documentation and audit-ready control evidence.
- Prevent unapproved/duplicate vendor creation through strict governance.
- Monitor AP ageing buckets (0–30 / 31–60 / 61–90 / 90+) and drive closure.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and circulate weekly/monthly AP MIS dashboards.
- Provide timely support during internal, statutory, and management audits.
- Ensure zero audit observations through proactive compliance.
Teamwork & Self-Development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support business priorities.
- Maintain a continuous improvement mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Finance, Commerce, or Accounting (B.Com/M.Com/MBA Finance).
- 5 plus years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in FMCG/Manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with Tally
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, vendor management, and reconciliation.
Key Skills
- Advanced Excel & MIS reporting
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Understanding of internal controls & audit requirements
- Ability to work under timelines and manage multiple priorities
Preferred
- Experience in supply chain financing/discounting programs
- Exposure to multi-location operations
- Familiarity with vendor onboarding and documentation compliance
