Job Overview
The Deputy General Manager – ESG will drive the execution of VFS Global's sustainability strategy, partnering with stakeholders to set and deliver impactful targets, policies, and initiatives that advance our ambitious ESG commitments.
Duties & Responsibilities
Strategy Implementation & Reporting
- Support the implementation of VFS Global's sustainability strategy and associated policies across the organisation, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Gather, verify, and organise data required for sustainability reporting, ESG disclosures, and external ratings, while responding to information requests from key internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and circulate monthly updates on sustainability initiatives, highlighting progress, key achievements, and areas for improvement.
Compliance & Best Practices
- Stay up to date with evolving legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices related to sustainability and ESG compliance, advising on necessary actions.
- Ensure organisational adherence to applicable ESG standards and frameworks through timely monitoring and proactive risk management.
Projects, Engagement & Awareness
- Assist in the planning and execution of sustainability projects in partnership with internal teams and external partners, ensuring impactful delivery with strong stakeholder engagement.
- Drive ESG-related training and awareness initiatives across the organisation, fostering a culture of sustainability and continuous learning.
- Support in the development of Green House Gas (GHG) Emissions data management framework and its implementation
- Environment, Social & Governance:

- Adhere to the organisation's environment, health, and safety policies, objectives, and guidelines
Anti Bribery Management Systems (ABMS)
- Follow the ABMS roles and responsibilities details as prescribed on the ABMS manual.
- Understanding of ethical standards and the importance of integrity in business practices.
- Ability to identify and evaluate risks related to bribery in various business contexts. For more detailed explanation, follow the ABMS manual.
Education
- Graduate or postgraduate degree (or global equivalent), with a preferred focus or certification in Sustainability, Environmental Data Management, ESG, or a related field.
Experience
- 10- 12 years of experience in a sustainability-related role within a corporate organization or consultancy, with proven exposure to ESG strategies, reporting, or project implementation.
