Senior Technology Leadership – P&C Insurance Domain

About the Role

This opportunity is to lead and assist in the development and maintenance of client and custom applications, contributing to technology and digital solutions across the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry segment, with a focus on Specialty and Commercial Lines insurance.

The role sits within the Technology & Digital domain and involves delivering IT technology services for multiple global clients, with special focus on the UK and European markets. Prior work experience in the Lloyd's market is advantageous.

You will be responsible for identifying, managing, governing, and solutioning digital initiatives, overseeing application development and infrastructure maintenance, and leveraging technology to transform insurance business processes. The position also entails expanding and delivering a wide array of technology services for both existing and new clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Management

  • Oversee all strategic product and platform build efforts, ensuring alignment with business goals and client needs.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio across strategic accounts.
  • Develop and execute a clear technology strategy for scalable, innovative, and value-driven solutions.
  • Track and optimize delivery metrics, budgets, and resource allocation.

2. Capability Development & Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage senior leaders across sub-teams.
  • Drive organizational structure, performance management, and career growth initiatives.
  • Promote effective collaboration across internal, client-facing, and cross-functional teams.

3. Communities of Practice

  • Build and nurture communities of practice in areas like business analysis, engineering, and quality management.
  • Encourage knowledge sharing, technical innovation, and adoption of best practices.
  • Champion continuous learning and upskilling initiatives.

4. Technical Excellence

  • Guide the development and maintenance of:
  • Strategic account solutions for large-scale clients.
  • Bespoke insurance platforms.
  • Delivery methodology and process improvement frameworks.
  • Implement effective release and configuration management processes.

5. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on technology initiatives.
  • Collaborate with client-facing teams to identify needs and address product gaps.
  • Partner with stakeholders to drive growth, innovation, and operational efficiency.
  • Support sales with strategic offerings, demos, POVs, and POCs.

Operational & Delivery Responsibilities

  • Own operational metrics for client satisfaction, people, and financial performance.
  • Develop points of view and proactive proposals for client governance.
  • Govern multiple technology projects (greenfield and existing).
  • Track staffing, visa readiness, and resource fulfillment for engagements.
  • Oversee end-to-end Managed Services across applications and infrastructure.
  • Ensure quality, cost, and schedule adherence for programs and projects.
  • Lead SDLC and security audits, risk assessments, and third-party certifications.
  • Evaluate third-party tools and platforms for P&C insurance and SDLC needs.

Must Have Qualifications & Skills

  • B.Tech./B.E. or M.Tech./M.E. from a recognized institution.
  • 25+ years of experience in IT services across applications and infrastructure.
  • Minimum 3 years of onsite work experience in the US within the last 15 years.
  • 10+ years of experience with P&C insurance clients, preferably in Specialty or Large Commercial Lines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Broad understanding of US and Canada immigration norms.
  • Proficiency in either Azure or AWS Cloud platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Proven track record of leading successful client delivery engagements.

  • Knowledge of P&C core platforms.
  • Experience managing both small and large delivery teams.
  • Prior Lloyd's market experience.
