Job Description:
Gartner is seeking a skilled and experienced Director, Analyst to provide thought leadership and actionable advice in the evolving area of Cloud Migration and Edge Cloud. This role demands a deep understanding of cloud computing, strategy, and the implications of edge computing within hybrid cloud environments. The Director will create compelling research, engage with clients, and contribute to Gartner's reputation as a leading research and advisory company.
What you will do:
Collaboratively write and publish analysis and positions at a regular cadence through evidence-based research.
Create compelling, technical research on Cloud infrastructure, aimed at IT practitioners.
Help our client's cloud initiatives, focusing on hybrid data centers, cloud migration, cloud cost, and cloud exit strategies.
Provide professional representation of Gartner's brand, research, insights, and analysis to technical teams in Gartner's client base.
Provide clients and prospects with actionable advice aligned to their designated content area via virtual or face-to-face interactions.
Apply personal experience and technical expertise to an array of clients, situations, and industries.
Work with Gartner Sales executives to attract, engage and retain Gartner customers.
Proactively contribute to thought leadership and research communities.
What you will need:
10+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on cloud computing and strategy.
Proven experience as a Cloud Architect with In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
Experience in Guiding cloud transformation in the context of a cloud migration and assessing cloud risks
Experience in driving cloud governance and understanding of cloud technical architecture, with hands-on engineering experience
Experience in building and delivering a modern operations function (cloud platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or similar model)
Experience working in agile, DevOps environments.
Strong knowledge of cloud services, including edge-to-cloud solutions and implications of edge computing within hybrid cloud environments.
Familiarity with the edge cloud strategies of major cloud providers.
Experience in cloud security, pricing, networking and deployment models.
Experience in designing and overseeing the implementation of cloud operating models.
Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions.
Ability to work independently, while also being intrinsically motivated to collaborate across teams and support the workflow of others in a multicultural global team.
Strong organizational skills: ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high quality deliverables.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud models.
Insight into how edge computing influences hybrid cloud adoption.
Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance requirements.
Familiarity with cloud financial management tools and techniques.
Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
Understanding of designing, implementing, and managing Cloud to support client's Cloud Initiatives.
