  • Offer academic counselling to students to assist in course selection and career planning.
  • Provide support and guidance on academic policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Assist students in setting academic and career goals.
  • Develop and implement workshops or programs to enhance study skills and time management.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to address student concerns and ensure academic success.
  • Track students' progress and provide intervention strategies as necessary.
  • Utilize resources to aid students in overcoming academic challenges.
  • Support students in navigating academic stress or personal issues affecting their studies.
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating academic events and activities.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
  • Proven experience in academic advising or counselling.
  • Strong understanding of academic programs, requirements, and university policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to empathize and provide support to students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of career development and educational planning.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations for student success.
  • Proficiency in using counseling and education-related software and tools.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Certification in counseling or relevant field is a plus.
  • Experience working with college or university students is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic academic environment.
