  • Strong capabilities in career pathway planning to help students design and navigate their career trajectories effectively.
  • Abilities in digital profile optimization to enhance students' online presence and attract potential employers.
  • Competent in job interview coaching to prepare students for successful interactions with potential employers.
  • Holistic advising techniques (Mandatory skill) to provide comprehensive career advice that considers the entire individual's context.
  • LMI (Labor Market Information) research (Mandatory skill) for staying informed about current industry trends and demands.
  • Diversity and inclusion advocacy (Mandatory skill) to ensure equitable and accessible career support for all students.
  • Speaking proficiency in English, Tamil, and preferably in Malayalam is a must.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students to explore career interests and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement career workshops and seminars to enhance students' skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with faculty and industry professionals to create internship and job placement opportunities.
  • Maintain and update student records, tracking progress and counseling sessions for future reference.
  • Advise on academic pathways and potential career opportunities related to specific fields of study.
  • Network with employers and alumni to establish strong industry connections for the institution.
  • Provide resources and support for application processes, including resume and cover letter critiques.
  • Foster an inclusive environment where all students feel welcomed and supported in their career endeavors.
