Surveyor is usually deployed as a member of a field survey team. Whilst deputed on a field job, he is responsible for conducting the assigned task as per the defined scope, specifications and schedule for work. He is also responsible for making the daily progress report and submission of a Mobilisation and Demobilisation Report as per standard format, as directed by the Company.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Testing and preparation of equipment prior to mobilisation.

2. Setting up, configuration and calibration of all surveying equipment prior to data acquisition.

3. Operation and basic troubleshooting of survey equipment deployed in the field.

4. Data acquisition as per scope, specification and schedule as briefed by PC / PM.

5. Back-up and custody of all data logged in the field.

6. Following the safety rules and safe work practices in the field.

7. Active participation in tool-box meetings, and HSE activities in the field.

8. Preparation of mobilisation and De-mobilisation Reports, and handing over of the same with all data logged in original to the FSINPVT Survey Manager on demob.

9. To prepare survey procedures and reports whilst in office as directed by RM/SM.

10. Processing of survey data, Charts and reports on survey as directed by SM/RM.

11. Preferably minimum 1-2 years experience in offshore surveys.

12. B.Sc. with Mathematics / Physics / Geology background and aggregate 55 PERCENT , or Ex-Navy with a minimum of 15 years of service in the Naval hydrographic department or -Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering.

13. Good communication skills in the English language and good interpersonal skills.

HSE Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring safety of self and others at site.
• Prevent damage of equipment and assets.
• Responsible for following all safety signs/procedures/ safe working practices.
• Responsible for using appropriate PPEs.
• Responsible for participating in mock drills.
• Entitled to refuse any to undertake any activity considered unsafe.
• Responsible for filling up of hazard observation card, wherever hazard has been noticed at site.
• Responsible for safe housekeeping of his workplace.
• To stop any operation that is deemed unsafe.
• To be able to operate fire extinguisher in case of fire.
• To report an incident as soon as possible to immediate supervisor and HSE manager.
• To complete HSE trainings as instructed to do so.
