Job Summary:
The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and promoting the company's products or services. The role involves strategic planning, market research, and collaboration with internal teams to achieve sales targets and expand the company's market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and generate new business leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, industry forums).
- Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction to drive repeat business.
- Sales Pitch & Negotiation: Present tailored solutions, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts to close deals while ensuring profitability.
- Market Research: Conduct research to identify market trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities for expansion.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align strategies and ensure seamless delivery of services or products.
- Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets and KPIs as set by the management.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status in CRM tools; provide regular reports to management.
- Brand Representation: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role. Industry-specific experience (e.g., [specify industry, e.g., manufacturing, IT, FMCG]) is preferred.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and persuasive abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently or in a team.
- Other Requirements: Willingness to travel as needed; valid driver's license may be required.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Number of new clients acquired.
- Revenue generated from new and existing accounts.
- Conversion rate of leads to sales.
- Client retention and satisfaction scores.
- Accuracy and timeliness of sales reports.
