US Company needs a skilled, high-integrity individual to manage its servers. Our current admin who created these systems is working only part time but we need full time support.

  • At least 5 years of experience with KVM. Setting up and maintaining families of host computers and their virtual machines. We need someone who can do whatever is possible to maintain these systems and be ready to create new systems as needs arise
  • Years of experience with firewalls
  • Experience with a variety of linux systems, most importantly Rocky 8. But we also need help deciding where the next generation should go.
  • Years of experience with launching/maintaining IT systems using containers. We would like to evolve some of what is now done with multiple KVM instances to be handled with containers
  • Experience setting up email servers for companies. Preferably using Postfix, but if not postfix, be prepared to learn it.
  • The ability to help us select hardware by shopping for the most affordable systems with the maximal capacity (disk space, fast discs, memory, bandwidth, etc.)
  • Experience with state of the art devops tools for maintaining installations of programs, libraries, packages in Linux
  • Experience with Rust Desk, Nomachine (NX) or equivalent systems
  • Willingness to document the things that others may need to reference. We don't care how you meet our requirements, you have maximal flexibility so long as the systems work. But sometimes others need to understand things and you need to be able to take the needed time to write things up that affect others, or would allow us to get help if you were sick.
  • Clear communicator. We need the ability to abstract technical details and translate what is happening with the systems to information meaningful to manage the business. Written English over Instant Messaging systems is more important than spoken English.

Pay: ₹ ₹881.24 per hour
