**Business Summary**

**Position Responsibilities**
- Actively monitor end-user support queues and follow up on unresolved tickets to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution.
- Database Administration: Manage and optimize database systems, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.
- Vendor Escalation and Coordination: Consult with external vendors to resolve issues and ensure SLA adherence.
- Business Application Operational Support (Dev, Test, Prod): Provide comprehensive support across various environments, ensuring smooth operations and transitions between development, testing, and production stages.
- Precisely document processes and procedures, ensuring their active use and timely update in the Knowledge Base.
- Partner with peers and other departments (to include IT Service Desk, IT Network Operations Center, and Tier 3 engineering teams) to drive process improvement efforts and improve operating capabilities and metrics for the Systems Operation Center functions.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Information systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in an IT environment with a focus on production business systems operations environment, providing technical support to internal or external customers
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL
- Scripting experience for task automation (considered a plus)
- Ability to work shifts as assigned, including weekends, and be available on an on-call basis
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience collaborating with team members at various levels, from junior developers to senior managers to business customers
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to learn new technologies
- Experience in a systems development environment (e.g., COTS package configuration or custom implementation experience)
- Experience with a wide variety of technologies (MS SQL Server,.NET Framework, BAE Weblogic) and COTS packages (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Oracle Service Cloud, SharePoint)
