Quality Control Officer

Job purpose: This job description outlines a role focused on Quality Control (QC) in a Greenfield project and ongoing operations, encompassing the oversight of construction and commissioning of quality control infrastructure, then transitioning to lab testing for water quality and utility parameters, also specialized testing for oils. To Plan, Execute and monitor overall Laboratory activity including testing , calibration , quality product allocation & dispatch activity from 3 production lines to achieve Customer delight and sustain preferred supplier status . Also maintain & monitor Lab QMS as per NABL standard and safety standard as per Global Safety standard.

Location: Naidupet

Responsibilities -

• Timely allocation of finished goods for dispatch & Timely analysis of water sample to Utility for improving Boiler efficiency. Updating the Test procedure as per ASTM international. Documentation of Lab QMS as per NABL Standard On time availability of process Lab Test results to Production.

• Monitoring the quality checking of In-process products and prompt information to Control room & WH.

• Plan and arrange equipment calibration and maintenance from External NABL accredited agency within target date

• Ensure the availability of Tested Material for dispatching. To ensure the allocation of quality material as per Customer Spec and Contract review. To monitor the timely allocation and release loading ship for loading of material and release COA for On-time delivery.

• Review & monitoring of work progress. Resulting completion of job within time. Initiate various improvement projects. Prepare MIS report.

• Documentation to fulfil compliance of Global safety standard - Hazard Communication Compliance of OHS-ISO 45001:2018 standard requirement Ensuring 100% use of Personal protective equipment for safe working inside lab Imparting of on job safety training. Task observation of workmen during critical job for assurance of safe working.

• Non-Tyre customer visit during Quality complaint and find out root causes for resolution. Periodic visit to Tyre Customers for Interlab correlation for improvement on Vendor rating. Identify the critical spares. Maintaining minimum inventory spare part of critical Equipment. Plan and monitor procurement action for all spares and other Chemical. Co-ordination with Purchase & store dept. to optimize inventory level.
