The Project Manager will manage the projects relating to new formulation products, and other related projects. Projects management will measure and track whether development is on quality, within budget and on time. Product development will be targeted for the Indian, ROW and European markets. Ability to track, monitor and reports on all kinds of projects (apart from Pharma formulation & dossier development) will be added advantage. Should have a proven ability to get things done.

This will be an individual contributor role, at an Manager" level, based at Mumbai and will report to the Managing Director / Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To monitor the product development process from New Product Development approval to market launch. This involves, but is not limited to formulation development, trials, stability, regulatory approvals, tech transfer to plant, commercial batch production and commercial launch.
  • Prior to the project, help ensure that project plan is complete and approved on scope, budget and timeline.
  • To monitor the budget vs spends throughout the Lifecyle of the project. Flag-off concerns to the relevant stakeholders in advance.
  • Act as the single point of contact and project owner, for co-ordination across all relevant internal functions and to ensure all internal and external stakeholders are aware and apprised throughout the lifecycle of the development.
  • Through periodic monitoring of lead and lag indicators, all relevant development milestones like sourcing, analytical development, technical studies, documentation, etc will be tracked and maintained, ensuring proper, compliant completion of each one.
  • To successfully manage technical projects other than product development projects as and when deemed fit.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Overall experience of approx. 5- 8 years in functions such as Production / Quality Assurance / Research & Development / Regulator Affairs with at least 3 years in the desired role in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Should have some experience in a technical role in a pharmaceutical or chemical company, production, QA or QC.
  • Should have a good operational knowledge of PM management software and tools
  • Good knowledge of product development / CMO cycles for European markets.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements for obtaining EU GMP approval.
  • Proven project management capabilities, including reporting, follow-up and ability to manage a matrix structure across functions, sites and hierarchy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and advanced organizing skills.
  • Proven ability to independently and proactively drive the Organizational requirements.
