As a Cataloguer Quality Control (QC) at our company, your role involves ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of cataloging metadata and documentation across film and audiovisual collections. You play a crucial role in bridging cataloging and quality assurance functions to verify that catalog records adhere to established archival and metadata standards before integration into digital archives or public access systems. Key Responsibilities: - Review catalog records to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with metadata standards. - Apply controlled vocabularies, authority files, and standardized naming conventions correctly. - Cross-check catalog entries with physical or digital media assets to confirm title, format, runtime, condition, and other technical details. - Identify discrepancies, missing information, or inconsistencies in records. - Conduct data audits and clean-up tasks in collection or digital asset management systems. - Maintain quality control logs and generate reports on cataloging issues. - Assist in refining workflows and best practices for cataloging and metadata quality assurance processes. - Keep detailed records of QC findings and corrective actions. - Contribute to internal guidelines and metadata documentation for training purposes. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Studies, Film Studies, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). - Prior experience in cataloging or metadata work within archival, media, or cultural heritage environments. - Familiarity with various film and audiovisual formats, including analog and digital. Please note that this is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, requiring in-person work at the designated location.,
