Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) – Tamil Nadu will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing distributor and dealer networks, and leading a team of sales executives across the region. The role involves formulating effective sales strategies, achieving revenue targets, enhancing market penetration, and building strong relationships with key partners and customers. The RSM must possess a deep understanding of the Tamil Nadu market dynamics and demonstrate leadership in managing both direct and indirect sales operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy & Target Achievement

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance data to ensure consistent growth and profitability.

2. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the regional sales team to achieve individual and collective objectives.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training to enhance team productivity and product knowledge.
  • Foster a result-oriented and collaborative work culture.

3. Market Development & Expansion

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, markets, and channels within Tamil Nadu.
  • Strengthen the existing dealer/distributor network and ensure effective coverage across all major cities and rural markets.
  • Conduct regular market visits to track competitor activities, pricing trends, and customer preferences.

4. Channel & Distributor Management

  • Appoint, manage, and support distributors, stockists, and key trade partners.
  • Ensure proper inventory planning, order fulfillment, and secondary sales tracking.
  • Maintain healthy relationships with key partners to ensure long-term business sustainability.

5. Marketing & Branding Support

  • Coordinate with the marketing team to plan regional promotional campaigns, product launches, and trade events.
  • Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of marketing initiatives in the field.

6. Reporting & Compliance

  • Submit regular MIS reports on sales performance, market insights, and competitor activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and credit control procedures.
