A Quality Engineer is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and improving the quality of products, processes, and services to ensure they meet industry standards and customer requirements. The role involves coordination with the production team, suppliers, and management to maintain high-quality standards and reduce defects.


Key Responsibilities

Perform inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process work, and finished products

Monitor concrete, steel, aggregates, and construction materials (for civil field)

Prepare and maintain quality documentation (QAP, WIR, MIR, DPR, NCR, etc.)

Conduct site visits to ensure work execution is as per approved drawings & specifications

Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives for approvals

Maintain proper record of laboratory tests and third-party reports

Verify calibration status of measuring and testing equipment

Prepare reports for deviations and ensure corrective & preventive actions

Implement QA/QC procedures, IS codes, and safety rules on site

Support internal & external audits related to quality management system


Required Skills

Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and quality standards

Familiar with IS codes / ASTM / project specifications

Experience in material testing (concrete, soil, steel, bitumen etc.)

Good documentation & reporting skills

Understanding of drawings and BOQ

Good communication and coordination skills

Problem solving and analytical mindset

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) or QC software (optional)
