Job Overview

We are seeking a Housekeeping Manager for our Bangalore location to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within the hospital environment. This is a full-time position, and the candidate must possess a combination of skills and experience, including a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 15 years in a similar role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate superior organizational abilities, effective leadership, and the capacity to solve problems efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Leadership (Mandatory skill): Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively, including the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage staff towards achieving organizational goals.
  • Time Management (Mandatory skill): Proven proficiency in managing one's own time and the time of others, ensuring timely completion of tasks and efficient allocation of resources.
  • Problem Solving (Mandatory skill): Effective at identifying issues, evaluating multiple solutions, and implementing an optimal course of action under varying circumstances.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy and thoroughness in all facets of housekeeping management, ensuring high standards are met throughout the hospital.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey information and effectively interact with diverse staff and hospital management.
  • Organization: Competence in organizing personal and team work, streamlining processes and maintaining a well-ordered work environment.
  • Teamwork: Experience in collaborating within a team, contributing to group objectives and fostering a cooperative working atmosphere.
  • Customer Service: Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving any issues efficiently and ensuring comfort to hospital patients and visitors.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas of the hospital are clean, sanitary, and presentable at all times.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping procedures, reflecting best practices and ensuring compliance with infection control and safety standards.
  • Manage a team of housekeeping staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations, to maintain high standards of service.
  • Allocate resources efficiently to meet departmental goals, including inventory management and acquisition of cleaning supplies.
  • Coordinate with hospital departments to support overall patient and visitor satisfaction, addressing any housekeeping-related concerns promptly.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure continued adherence to established cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Prepare and manage the housekeeping budget, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality.
  • Maintain records and reports on housekeeping activities, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement or increased efficiency.
