Senior Staff Nurse

Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients.
Perform advanced clinical procedures within the scope of practice.
Administer medications, monitor treatment response, and document accurately.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Manage emergency situations and initiate life-saving interventions (BLS/ACLS).
Supervise, guide, and support staff nurses, ANMs, nursing aides, and HCAs.
Delegate tasks appropriately and ensure proper workload distribution.
Provide on-the-job training, orientation, and mentorship to new staff.
Assume charge responsibilities in the absence of the Nurse In-Charge.
Ensure adherence to infection control guidelines and hand hygiene practices.
Monitor compliance with nursing protocols, clinical pathways, and safety standards.
Participate in nursing audits, quality improvement programs, and incident reporting.
Ensure safe administration of high-risk medications and accurate documentation.
Act as a liaison between nurses, physicians, allied health professionals, and patients.
Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care plans and education.
Assist in discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
Ensure timely communication of patient condition changes to the physician.
Oversee and ensure availability of equipment, supplies, and emergency drugs.
Verify the proper functioning of monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and other devices.
Ensure maintenance of clean, safe, and organized work environments.
Support admission, transfer, and discharge workflows in the unit.
Maintain accurate and timely records in EMR or manual charts.
Document nursing assessments, interventions, vitals, medications, and patient progress.
Assist in preparing unit reports, handover summaries, and audit data.
Participate in CMEs, nursing training programs, and continuing education.
Keep updated with best practices, policies, and clinical guidelines.
Assist with research, nursing improvement projects, and competency assessments.
