Key Responsibilities:Clinical Duties:

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care.

  • Monitor and assess patients' conditions, responding to changes promptly.

  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with clinical protocols.

Leadership and Supervision:

  • Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff, including orientation and training.

  • Act as a role model in delivering high standards of care and professionalism.

  • Participate in staff performance appraisals and feedback.

  • Support in managing staff rotas and resource allocation.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated patient care.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.

  • Attend ward meetings and contribute to clinical decision-making.

Quality and Safety:

  • Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control practices.

  • Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Report and manage incidents, near-misses, and patient concerns.

Professional Development:

  • Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) activities.

  • Maintain registration with relevant nursing regulatory body (e.g., NMC for UK, BON for Nigeria, etc.).

  • Participate in in-service training and workshops as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Nurse with a valid practicing license.

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred) or equivalent qualification.

  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience.

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or senior nursing role is an advantage.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (as applicable).
