Project Engineer / Commissioning Engineer – Honeywell Control Systems**

Job Title: Project Engineer / Commissioning Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Commissioning Engineer with hands-on expertise in Honeywell Distributed Control Systems (DCS). The ideal candidate should have extensive experience working on at least two Honeywell platforms such as TPS, EPKS, FSC, or SM. The role involves project execution, commissioning, system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and client interaction in industrial automation environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Engineering & Execution

  • Design, configure, and implement Honeywell DCS/ESD systems (TPS/EPKS/FSC/SM).
  • Develop and customize control logic, graphics, databases, and system configurations.
  • Prepare project engineering documents including I/O lists, logic diagrams, functional design specifications (FDS), and cause-and-effect charts.
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Commissioning & Site Activities

  • Lead the commissioning and startup of DCS/ESD control systems at site.
  • Conduct loop checks, functional testing, FAT, SAT, and pre-commissioning activities.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and ensure successful system handover to the client.
  • Provide on-site technical support and resolve critical control system problems.

Customer Support & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety requirements.
  • Interface with clients for project progress, approvals, and technical clarifications.
  • Prepare technical reports, system documentation, as-built drawings, and manuals.
  • Train client operators and maintenance engineers on system operations.

Mandatory Skills & Expertise:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Honeywell Control Systems.
  • Practical working knowledge in at least two Honeywell platforms:
  • TPS (Total Plant Solution) EPKS (Experion Process Knowledge System) FSC (Fail Safe Controller) SM (Safety Manager)

  • Experience in control logic design, system configuration, controller loading, and graphics development.

  • Strong understanding of industrial automation, SCADA, PLC interfaces, I/O modules, networking, and field instrumentation.

  • Skilled in troubleshooting Honeywell systems and performing commissioning activities.Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.

  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Power Plants, Refineries, Petrochemical, or Heavy Industrial projects.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, TCP/IP).
  • Familiarity with safety systems, control narratives, and P&ID interpretation.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and client-handling capabilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel for site work and commissioning assignments.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
