Dispatch Head

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Experience: min 5+ years of experience in dispatch or logistics, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within the packaging industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Dispatch Planning and Coordination:
Develop and manage dispatch schedules to ensure timely delivery of packaging materials.
Coordinate with production teams to understand packaging requirements and timelines, ensuring alignment with dispatch schedules.
Collaborate with sales and warehouse teams to optimize inventory for timely dispatch and reduce transportation costs.

Team Leadership and Development:
Supervise, train, and lead the dispatch team in handling and dispatching box and wood packaging materials safely and efficiently.
Conduct regular team meetings to discuss daily operations, address challenges, and improve team performance.

Quality Control in Packaging and Loading:
Ensure all dispatched materials are inspected for quality, durability, and adherence to client specifications.
Oversee the safe loading and handling of packaging products to prevent damage, especially for delicate wood or custom-sized box packaging.
Ensure packaging standards are met throughout the dispatch process, including secure wrapping, bundling, and safe stacking.

Inventory and Documentation Management:
Monitor inventory levels for dispatch materials, ensuring all orders are ready for delivery without delays.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation, including packing slips, delivery notes, and inventory logs.
Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory and dispatch records comply with company policies and client requirements.

Client Communication and Satisfaction:
Coordinate with clients to confirm dispatch details, handle special packaging requests, and address any dispatch-related concerns.
Act as a primary point of contact for clients during the dispatch process, providing timely updates on order status.

Compliance and Safety Standards:
Ensure all dispatch activities are compliant with industry regulations and safety standards specific to packaging materials.
Implement and enforce safety protocols in handling and transporting heavy or fragile packaging items.
Conduct training for dispatch staff on proper handling techniques and safety compliance for box and wood packaging materials.

Process Improvement and Reporting:
Prepare regular reports on dispatch efficiency, delivery timelines, and any issues or delays.
Analyze dispatch performance data to identify areas for cost savings, improved handling processes, and increased efficiency.
Propose improvements to the dispatch process to reduce turnaround time and enhance client satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills:
Strong knowledge of handling and transporting packaging materials, particularly box and wood products.
Proficiency in dispatch and inventory management software.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to handle the physical demands of packaging dispatch, including lifting and managing bulky or heavy items.
Strong problem-solving abilities, especially in a fast-paced, high-volume dispatch environment.
