Role & responsibilities

  • Manage onboarding and documentation of contract workers.
  • Ensure contractors comply with statutory obligations (e.g., CLRA Act, Minimum Wages Act).

  • Conduct periodic audits of contractor compliance.

  • Conduct regular audits of HR practices and employee records.
  • Develop and implement compliance training programs.
  • Liaise with legal teams to stay updated on regulatory changes.
  • Maintain documentation for statutory compliance (e.g., PF, ESI, Gratuity, etc.).
  • Handle inspections and respond to notices from government authorities
  • Design and manage salary structures, incentive plans, and bonus schemes.
  • Administer payroll processing and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage employee benefits programs (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans).
  • Conduct benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and statutory deductions.
  • Handle employee queries related to compensation and benefits
  • Plan and implement employee welfare programs (e.g., health camps, recreational activities).
  • Ensure availability of basic amenities like clean drinking water, sanitation, and restrooms.
  • Promote employee engagement through events and feedback mechanisms.
  • Address employee grievances and promote mental well-being.
  • Collaborate with NGOs or external agencies for CSR and welfare initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR regulations, and compliance frameworks.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills.
  • Ability to conduct investigations and manage sensitive information confidentially.
  • Effective communication and training delivery skills.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits of HR processes and documentation.
  • Review employee files, payroll records, and benefits administration for compliance.
  • Identify gaps or risks in current practices and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare audit reports and present findings to senior management.
