Job Title: FastAPI Developer Intern

About the Role:

We are looking for skilled and passionate FastAPI Developer Interns who are ready to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to building high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate should be a recent graduate based in Bangalore who can work from office and is eager to gain hands-on experience with modern backend frameworks and real-world projects.

Responsibilities:

  • API Development: Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using FastAPI to support frontend systems and third-party integrations.
  • Database Management: Develop and optimize database schemas using PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB, ensuring data integrity and scalability.
  • Performance Optimization: Improve backend efficiency through caching (e.g., Redis), query optimization, and async programming for enhanced system performance.
  • Security Implementation: Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth2), manage data encryption, and ensure secure API communication.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to ensure smooth integration and feature delivery.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify, debug, and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical issues in production environments.
  • Code Quality: Participate in peer reviews, follow clean coding practices, and maintain well-documented and testable codebases.
  • Technical Contribution: Assist in architectural discussions, suggest tools or frameworks, and contribute to improving backend best practices.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Good understanding of Python and hands-on experience with FastAPI framework.
  • Database Skills: Proficiency in working with relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
  • API Expertise: Strong understanding of RESTful API principles; familiarity with GraphQL is an added advantage.
  • Testing: Knowledge of writing unit and integration tests using PyTest or similar frameworks.
  • Version Control: Experience with Git and collaborative workflows using GitHub or GitLab.
  • Communication: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Candidates:

  • Location: Based in Bangalore.
  • Availability: Must be able to work from office (no remote option).
  • Eligibility: Passed-out candidates who can join immediately are preferred.
