Role & responsibilities

  • Audit Planning & Execution: Conduct internal audits of various departments and functions within the organization, focusing on financial, operational, and compliance risks.
  • Accounting & Financial Audits: Review and verify financial records, including ledger accounts, Ledger scrutiny, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
  • Taxation & GST Compliance reviews: Audit tax-related activities, including the calculation, payment, and filing of direct and indirect taxes (e.g., GST). Ensure all tax compliances are met accurately and on time.
  • Treasury Audits: Assess and audit treasury operations, including cash management, Asset Liability management and investment activities. Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls over treasury functions.
  • Risk Assessment & Control: Identify potential risks and weaknesses in internal controls and recommend corrective actions to mitigate them.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, observations, and recommendations for management. Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions.

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in any of below areas such as Audits (handling Statutory audits, Tax audits, GST audit, Internal audit of Accounts & finance), Corporate taxation, GST compliances, Ind AS accounting, Concurrent audits of bank. Experience in the BFSI sector or Capital market sector is a significant plus.
