The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Proven experience in
    software/CCTV surveillance solution sales
    within the Smart City & Government vertical.
  • Strong knowledge of
    Video Analytics, FRS, VMS, ITMS
    and related technology solutions.
  • Deep understanding of the
    regional market landscape, customer needs, and decision-making processes
    .
  • Excellent communication skills — soft-spoken, presentable, confident, and effective in negotiation.
  • Ability to work both
    independently
    and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • 10+ years
    of relevant experience in the Government/Safe City vertical (North/West/South region based on location).

Roles & Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Lead Generation

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with
    government departments, PSUs, urban local bodies, and Smart City SPVs
    .
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline through
    tenders, RFPs, GEM portal
    , and direct government engagement.
  • Drive proactive outreach to consultants, system integrators, and government stakeholders.

2. Tendering & Bidding

  • Monitor government procurement platforms (
    GEM, CPPP, state e-tender portals
    ).
  • Coordinate and prepare complete
    bid responses
    , ensuring compliance with RFP/RFQ requirements.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams to create competitive proposals.

3. Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key government decision-makers, SIs, consultants, and nodal officers.
  • Develop trust and credibility to ensure long-term strategic engagement.

4. Strategic Account Management

  • Identify key accounts and create customized growth plans.
  • Oversee the complete customer lifecycle from lead acquisition to post-sales coordination and support.

5. Solution Selling

  • Understand the technical and functional aspects of Smart & Safe City solutions.
  • Conduct impactful product demos and presentations tailored to customer needs.
  • Align proposed solutions with government objectives and project requirements.

6. Sales Target Achievement

  • Achieve or exceed assigned revenue targets from the government vertical.
  • Provide accurate forecasts and maintain transparency in reporting.

7. Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams including
    product, finance, legal, operations, and delivery
    .
  • Coordinate with OEM partners and System Integrators for joint go-to-market activities.

8. Market Intelligence

  • Track competitor activities, tender trends, pricing intelligence, and upcoming government initiatives.
  • Share insights with management to refine strategy and improve competitiveness.

9. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain updated records of leads, pipelines, customer interactions, and project status in CRM tools.
  • Submit timely and accurate management reports.

10. Compliance & Ethics

  • Ensure complete adherence to regulatory, legal, and ethical standards while dealing with government entities.
  • Maintain integrity in all communications, documentation, and business engagements.
